A major €660,000 upgrade of Kilkee Fire Station has moved one step closer.
Clare County Council has signed the contracts for the delivery of the project, which will see an extension to the rear of the existing building to include a number of upgrades including a new drying room and roller shutter doors.
It’s being funded by the Department of Housing and construction will get underway in the coming weeks and is expected to be completed early next year.
