Irish Water: Water Restored To Two North Clare Communities

Irish Water says all customers in two North Clare communities who have been without supply for the past 10 days should now have their water restored.

Over 100 properties in the New Quay and Finavarra areas lost supply after water levels in the reservoir ran low on account of a number of techinical issues at the Turlough treatment plant combined with a leak in the area.

The water utility says these issues were fixed on Monday and supply has been gradually restored over the past number of days.

Irish Water has carried out repairs to the water network in North Clare and all customers in the area should now have their supply restored.
A number of customers in the New Quay and Finavarra area were left without water on Monday after the level of water in the reservoir ran low due to a combination of technical issues at the Turlough water treatment plant and a large leak in the area. These issues were fixed by Monday evening and normal supply was gradually restored to the area over the following days.
