Irish Language Officer To Be Appointed For Clare

Clare County Council is to put an Irish Language Development Officer in place in the county for the promotion of Gaeilge here.

The local authority is to advertise the position next month, which will be run on a part-time basis for the next two years.

West Clare Councillor Gabriel Keating made the call for such a post to be filled and has welcomed the move.
