Investigations Into Death Of West Clare Man

Two investigations are to continue today into the death of a man killed in an accident in West Clare.

Gardaí and the Health and Safety Authority are examining the circumstances of the death of 73-year-old George Morrissey, who died yesterday in an incident near his home at Shanadrum, Mullagh.

Mr. Morrissey, who was a local undertaker, was killed in an incident involving a mini-digger.

He was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was later removed to University Hospital Limerick where a postmortem is expected to take place today.
