Clare County Council says efforts are underway to establish the identity behind those responsible for illegal dumping in Sixmilebridge.
25 bags of rubbish were found dumped in the area by the local authority’s Environmental Patrol Warden.
The council is advising people not to be duped by con-men posing as legitimate waste collectors, by handing over rubbish to people without a valid waste collection permit.
