Repair works are getting underway today at a bridge on a main artery into the village of Clarecastle.
The work is being carried out on Latoon Creek Bridge for the next three weeks and will see traffic management plans in operation.
The R458 will remain open to traffic though single lane closures will be in place at times.

Clare County Council says the works form part of a major repair project which was initially finished in May of last year.
