June Completion Date For Miltown Water Works – Irish Water

Irish Water says it could be June 2021 before planned upgraded works of water mains in Milltown Malbay are completed.

Part of the utility’s fund allocation in the July stimulus for leak reduction and improvement measures will go towards the works in Milltown Malbay and surrounding areas of West Clare.

The works, due to begin in October, are intended to address the issue of considerable water outages in the area which have occurred for a number of years.

Irish Water’s Operations Lead for Clare, Duane O Brien, says that they will continue to provide assistance for bursts and outages – including to private schemes – while the works are ongoing.
