A fresh batch of tests is being carried out on the Kilmaley-Inagh Group Water Scheme as work continues to restore drinking water to 2,000 homes.

It’s now been almost six weeks since a “Do Not Drink” notice was issued on the scheme, which is the largest of its kind in Europe and serves 6,000 residents.

The scheme is currently in a testing phase and management are working to build up a bank of results by the end of the week, at which stage they will be able to assess whether they are in a position to go to the HSE to have the notice lifted.
