Over €5 Million Allocated To Improve & Maintain Clare Roads In 2021

More than five million euro has been allocated to Clare County Council to improve and maintains this county’s roads in 2021.

The funding, announced by Transport Infrastructure Ireland, is an increase of more than 80% on last year.

Fianna Fail Deputy Cathal Crowe has welcomed the investment, saying it’s ‘badly needed’ in Clare.

It comes after a recent report from the National Oversight and Audit Commission has highlighted that more than a quarter of Clare’s regional roads have ‘moderate to significant defects’.
