Independent Alliance Seek Answers On Ireland’s Saudi-UN Vote

The Independent Alliance says the public should be told whether Ireland voted to put Saudi Arabia on a UN group for women’s rights.

The five TDs say they expect the issue to be raised at next week’s cabinet meeting.

Foreign affairs minister Charlie Flanagan is refusing to say if Ireland supported the Saudi bid for the UN Commission, despite the country’s poor record on women’s rights.
