It’s hoped new supports for group water schemes will lead to increased investment in rural water systems in Clare.
Minister Eoghan Murphy announced measures including a 60% increase in the maximum subsidy per household – from €140 to €231.
A review of the wider needs of rural water supplies across the country will also take place next year.
