IDA Head Says Group Will Look To Reap Brexit Benefit For Regions

The Head of the IDA has indicated that Shannon and Clare may become the home of some financial services companies who will look to set-up in Ireland in the aftermath of Brexit.

In 2016, it was reported that the IDA was pushing Shannon as an ideal destination for administrative employees, because it offers lower costs and ample office space.

The Authority’s CEO Martin Shanahan addressed Shannon Chamber members at Dromoland Castle last Friday, telling them that their strategy will now focus on getting these companies to setup secondary bases here, in regional towns.
