The head of IAG, the international airline group which owns Aer Lingus, has told Clare FM they may look to expand their services out of Shannon in the future.
However, CEO of IAG Willie Walsh has suggested this may not occur with the former flag carrier, but rather one of their low-cost carriers, Level.
He made the comments before addressing members of Shannon Chamber in Dromoland Castle last Friday, and later told them that the airline would likely look at continuing to expand its suits of transatlantic services from cities on the continent before coming to Shannon.
