HSE Warns Of “Imminent Danger” Of Clare Progressing To Level 3 Of Restrictions

The HSE has warned that moving to level three of restrictions in Clare is a “distinct possibility” following a number of outbreaks of covid-19 in the county.

72 new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in this county over the past two weeks, and Clare FM understands that health officials expect this number will grow further over the coming days.

The cases are linked to a number of outbreaks among extended families and outbreaks associated with parties, pubs and restaurants and a sporting event.

Speaking to Fiona Cahill on Clare FM’s Main Lunchtime News, the HSE’s Director of Public Health in the Midwest, Dr Mai Mannix warned it’s vital that everyone takes strong action now.
