HSE Denies Claims Its Been Massaging Waiting List Figures

The HSE says "a constrained" environment has contributed to its problems with waiting lists for tests. 

It has emerged that tens of thousands of people are waiting for appointments, but they are not included on official statistics.

This includes some 2,000 people who have been waiting more than two years for diagnostics at University Hospital Limerick.

The Assistant National Director of the HSE's Acute Hospitals Division, Angela Fitzgerald, says there are a number of reasons for that.
