HSE Apologises After Over 40 Children Treated With Drain Cleaner

The HSE has issued an apology after over 40 children were treated with drain cleaner at an Ennis Dental Clinic.

15 children have presented with symptoms including sore mouths, sore gums, blistering on gums, and nausea after being treated at the HSE Dental Clinic on Bindon Street last Wednesday.

It’s believed a bottle of potassium hydroxide found in a dental storage press, was mixed with water in a container for use in a 3 in 1 water or air spray, rather than approved dental products.
