Tulla Road Residents Fight Planned Social Housing Development

A group of Ennis residents are fighting against Council plans to construct a new social housing development close to their homes.

Residents of the Elm Wood estate say plans for eight new homes adjacent to their property will impinge on their right to privacy, as the homes are to be built on an elevated site, so the new houses will be higher than their’s.

A number of trees along the boundary between both sites will also be felled, although they would be replaced be similarly-sized semi-mature trees.
