According to the latest Department of Housing data, at the end of November there were 369 adults in the Midwest region without a permanent roof over their heads.

This is a rise of 14 on the October figure, though it does mark a drop of 16 on the figure from a year previous.

It also means that November was the third consecutive month the figures rose.

Of that number, 79 of these homeless adults were recorded here in Clare, which means four more people entered homelessness across the month of November.

The number of children without a permanent home in the Midwest, meanwhile, dropped in that period by a welcome 23; from 163 to 140.
