Midwest Simon insists that the failure to introduce rent pressure zones in rural areas like Clare is disadvantaging those areas.
The latest report from the Rent Tenancies Board shows the cost of renting a home in the county has risen by almost 9% in the third quarter of this year, compared to the same period last year.
It now costs 751 euro on average every month to rent a home here.
