Ennis Auctioneer Says Rate Of Rental Cost Increases In Clare May Slow

An Ennis auctioneer is expressing hope that the rate of increase in rental costs in Clare will slow in the coming 12 months.

The latest report from Daft.ie shows that rents are continuing to rise, but the rate at which they’re rising has slowed significantly.

Rents nationally grew by 6.7% last year to an average of almost €1,400, which is a six-year low in terms of annual increases.

However, here in Clare, now costs €858 a month on average to rent a home, which is a rise of around €100 a month, or 11.3% in the past year.
