Clare County Council has been called on to outline its plans for eight houses under construction in Ennis, that the loal authority is seeking to purchase.
Toreen Court is a small housing estate on the Tulla Road which is currently under private development, but it’s understood the council is now in the process of purchasing the unfinished homes for Social Housing.
Residents of neighbouring estates have called on the local authority to outline their plans for the houses in a public meeting tonight.

Local Fine Gael Councillor Johnny Flynn believes Ennis has a significant supply of Social Housing and is calling for the homes to be made available as affordable housing instead.
