The Managing Director of Trump’s Doonbeg Hotel and Golf Resort has expressed hope that a planned extension will provide a significant boost to the local economy, if given the green light.

Plans have been formally lodged for the proposed 40 million euro development which includes a ballroom, a leisure facility, restaurant, 53 new dwellings to be used for short-term tourist accommodation, and other facilities.

A series of meetings have already been held within the local community to discuss the planned project, and submissions can be lodged with Clare County Council until December 3rd.
