Hopes €1.6m Govt Investment Is Beginning Of Clare’s Success Story

The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council has expressed hope that a 1.6 million euro government investment signals the beginning of an ongoing success story for the county’s urban areas.

1.4 million has been allocated towards the regeneration of the Parnell Street area, including its 29 bow-ways, with a further 189,000 going towards the revitalisation of Barack Street.

The money is being granted as part of the Urban Regeneration and Development Fund, which will also see the planned Shannon Venue receiving a portion of a 2.7 million euro fund.
