Hope That Plans For Lisdoonvarna Creche Will Help Asylum Seeker Children Integrate

It’s hoped a planned extension to a creche in Lisdoonvarna will help the children of asylum seekers living in the North Clare village integrate into the community.

A planning application has been lodged by Lisdoonvarna Fáilte for the construction of an extension to an existing creche at Rathbaun, which could see its capacity rise from 85 to over 100.

It’s part of measures looked at by the community there since the arrival of aslym seekers, made up of families and children, living at the King Thomond Hotel.
