Health officials have largely praised a South-East Clare nursing home, following their latest inspection.
Athlunkard House has space for up to 103 residents, and was received an unannounced inspection by officials from HIQA last March.
It was found to be compliant, or substantially compliant, on 22 of the 23 criteria by which such facilities are judged.

An issue was found with some wheelchairs which did not have foot plates fitted, which posed a risk to residents while they were being transferred but management say a full maintenance and upgrading programme is now underway to address this.
