Hillery All But Rules Out Political Future

Fianna Fáil’s John Hillery has effectively ruled out a public life in politics in the future, after withdrawing from the running for the next general election.

The Spanish Point Psychiatrist recently confirmed his decision not to represent his party in the running for a Dáil seat, for personal reasons, leaving Fianna Fail with the task of finding a running mate for sitting TD Timmy Dooley.

Speaking publicly for the first time since his announcement, John Hillery has thanked people for their support, saying he was enjoying canvassing, and was disappointed to have to pull out.
