It’s claimed that hidden workers will enable the economy to continue to grow for a number of years.
It had been feared that there are insufficient workers to sustain our current pace of growth – with unemployment down to 6.4 per cent in June.
However, the Times Ireland Edition reports that new research by the Central Bank found that thousands of people who are willing to work were not included in the official statistics.

Around 85-thousand people are also under-employed meaning that they want to work more but are unable to.
