Met Éireann says there’s a strong possibility that a heatwave will hit parts of Clare next week.
Sunny spells and rising temperatures are forecast from the weekend, with temperatures of up to 28 degrees expected by mid-week.
The current record is 33 point 3 degrees, which was set in Kilkenny in 1887.
