Visiting Ban Lifted At UHL But Restrictions Remain

A visiting ban has been lifted at the region’s main hospital but restrictions remain in place due to the continued flu outbreak.

The outright ban had been in place for a week due to the risk of infection with the outbreak of influenza.

Those with flu-like symptoms are being urged to avoid the emergency department where possible and contact their GP in the first instance.
