The UL Hospitals Group is being warned that a meeting with Clare’s elected representatives can’t simply amount to a PR exercise.
Local councillors have been invited to a meeting on September 26th, when they will be briefed on activity and plans underway within the group.
It comes after last week saw significant overcrowding, with over 350 people on trolleys between Monday and Friday, according to the INMO.
Independent Kilrush Councillor Ian Lynch is welcoming the opportunity to speak directly with the senior management at University Hospital Limerick.
However, he says it’s vital that it’s not just a lecture, and that the councillors have an opportunity to share their views too:
