INMO – Winter Plan Measures “Won’t Impact On UHL Overcrowding”

The INMO’s Midwest Representative is warning that measures announced in the HSE’s Winter Plan won’t have any major impact on the record levels of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital over the coming months.

The health service has confirmed that a second MRI scanner will be in place at University Hospital Limerick within the coming three weeks, which will increase the daily number of scans and it’s hoped, reduce waiting times on trolleys.

It’s also been confirmed that the 60-bed modular unit will be up and running in the last quarter of 2020.
