HSE Nursing Homes Paid 72% More Than Private Homes For Same Care

New figures have revealed that HSE nursing homes in Clare are paid 72% more than their private and voluntary counterparts.

Figures from the Health Service show that on average, the fee payable to the four HSE nursing homes in Clare is €1,499 per person per week – versus €873 in the private and voluntary homes.

That’s above the national average of 66% and since the figures were last published 15 months ago, that gap has widened nationwide.
