HSE Confirms Second MRI Scanner For UHL

University Hospital Limerick has been been given a significant boost with confirmation that a second MRI scanner will be provided by the HSE.

It’s estimated this will cut the number of patients left waiting on trolleys in the Emergency Department there, as at present, there are lengthy waits for the machine that’s already in place.

The news comes on the same week that a motion has been passed by Clare County Council, calling on the HSE to provide such a machine.
