The Emergency Department of University Hospital Limerick has been described as being “akin to Beirut” after yet another day of chronic overcrowding there.

In light of yesterday’s overcrowding, the UL Hospitals Group issued a statement urging the public to consider their care options before attending the Emergency Department.
