Clare TD “Can’t Accept” Health Minister’s Claims That Overcrowding Is Unavoidable

Clare’s Independent TD insists he “cannot accept” the Health Minister’s stance that the current overcrowding crisis was unavoidable.

The past two days in a row have seen a total of 760 patients on trolleys in Irish hospitals – on Monday alone, there was a record-breaking 92 without a bed at University Hospital Limerick.

Visiting restrictions have been introduced in a number of hospitals, including UHL, as they grapple with the flu outbreak, while elective procedures have been cancelled in four facilities.
