Clare Children Waiting Almost A Year On Eye Appointments

Children in Clare are being forced to wait almost a year for vital eye appointments.

Figures released by the Association for Optometrists Ireland has found that there is an 11-month waiting for children under 12 for access to the Community Ophthalmic Physician.

In addition, adults who need cataract procedures are facing waits of 26 months on the public system, versus three months for those who can afford private care.
