13 children in Clare have been waiting at least eight months for an assessment with a speech and language therapist.
According to new HSE figures, 41 are currently awaiting initial therapy, while 39 are waiting for further therapy – nine of those have been waiting over a year.
Nationally, 685 children are waiting at least a year to be assessed
