Calls For External Crisis Management Group To Be Set Up To Address UHL Overcrowding

Calls have been made for an external crisis management group to be set up to deal with overcrowding at the region’s main hospital.

Yesterday’s trolleywatch analysis from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation showed 80 patients left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick, and nurses say 12 patients had to spend the night on a chair.

The union is now looking for the Health Minister to intervene to deal with the overcrowding crisis.
