Almost 10,000 Treated At Ennis General’s Injury Unit So far This Year

Almost 10,000 people have been treated at the injury unit at Ennis General Hospital so far this year, marking a 3% rise on last year.

The unit is available to those who have suffered minor non-life and non-limb threatening injuries, from 8am to 8pm daily.

The UL Hospitals Group says it’s vital to utilise the unit at Ennis, to alleviate pressure on the emergency department at University Hospital Limerick, where persistently high trolley numbers continue to cause pressure.
