74 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

Hospital trolleys

The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

The latest INMO figures show 74 patients have been left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 43 of those in the emergency department alone.

It’s the highest overall figure of any hospital in the country and is 15 more than the next busiest facility.

It comes on a day when 614 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
