70 On Trolleys At UHL As Level Of Overcrwoding Continues to Spiral

Nurses say 70 patients have been left waiting on trolleys at the region’s main hospital today.

The latest figures from the INMO show the level of overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick is continuing to spiral this week, with 42 patients waiting for beds in the ED this morning, and a further 28 accommodated in overflow areas of wards.

The overall figure in once again the highest in the country and is 10 more than the next busiest facility.
