University Hospital Limerick remains the busiest in the country as the week begins.

The latest INMO figures show 64 patients were left waiting for beds at the region’s main hospital this morning, 34 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 18 more than the next busiest facility, Cork University Hospital and comes on a day when 583 patients have been left waiting on trolleys nationally.
