61 Patients On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital

There’s been a significant spike in the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital, as the week begins.

61 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 33 of those in the emergency Department alone.

The overall figures is 10 more than the next busiest facility, and comes on a day when 247 people have been left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
