Hospital trolleys

Nurses say the level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

The latest figures from the INMO show 59 patients were waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 45 of those on trolleys in the emergency department.

The Dooradoyle facility is once again the busiest in the country and the overall number on trolleys is 9 more than the next busiest facility.
