The level of overcrowding at the region’s main hospital is on the rise once again.

The latest INMO figures show 59 patients were left waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 33 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure represents a rise of 8 on yesterday’s trolley stats, and is 19 more than the next busiest facility.
