44 On Trolleys At Region’s Main Hospital Today

The region’s main hospital remains the most overcrowded in the country once again as the week begins.

The latest INMO figures show 44 patients were left waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 28 of those in the emergency department.

The overall figures is three more than the next busiest hospital and comes on a day when 337 patients have been left on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
