Health Minister Would Welcome Public Sector Pay Deal

The Health Minister says he'd welcome a deal on public sector pay that would effectively put in place a 'no strike' clause – by solving disputes through arbitration. 

Unions and Government are close to a deal that would return around 1,000 euro next year and again in 2017 to public sector workers in return for further reform and changes through a two year extension of the Haddington Road Agreement.

The focus would be on reversing part of the pension levy and actual pay rises for those earning less than 30 thousand euro.
