Health Minister Called On To Meet Midwest Representatives

The Health Minister is being called on to urgently meet with local representatives about the future of hospital services in the Midwest.

Department of Health figures released by Fianna Fáil, show that almost 10 thousand elderly people have been waiting on trolleys for more than 24 hours, at the country’s Emergency Departments, in the first eight months of the year.

That’s an increase of around 6 hundred compared to November last year, and its now feared the numbers could rise to 14 thousand over the next few months.
