Harty – Roche Site Must Not ‘Fall Away And Rust’

Clare’s Independent TD insists the former Roche manufacturing facility in Clarecastle can’t be allowed to fall away and rust.

Dr Michael Harty is issuing a fresh call for a new company to take over the site, which was operated by the Swiss pharma giant from 1974 until 2015.

It’s closure two and a half years ago saw the loss of 240 jobs and had a major impact on the county, though Junior Jobs Minister Pat Breen says it’s still being actively promoted by the IDA to potential investors.
