Clare’s Independent TD insists that a move away from a hospital centred health service remains a top priority.
Dr Michael Harty is responding to Minister Simon Harris’s eight point plan for the future of the health service which he has outlined to an Oireachtas committee.
These include plans to scrap the HSE in favour of a “slimmed down” version of the service, and more power for Hospital Groups and Community Health Organisations.
